I can only suspect these two sandpipers are a pair engaged in morning preening, for the most part. Near the end of the video, the behavior of the sandpiper on the left suggests, to me, that it is a male. In comparison, the behavior of the sandpiper on the right, suggests, to me, that it is a female.
